The Ice Run starts off easy along an old fire trail and then very quickly turns much harder as it turns uphill. The grade is not the issue - its the combination of rocks and large pine tree roots across the trail which make it a challenge and require choosing the right path. Once over the short hill and obstacles, the trail settles into an easy run along the creek.
