Från öster börjar stigen på vägen upp till Västra Kottorp förbi vägbommen. Vid torpet forsätter stigen i hjulspåren över ängen. Inne i skogen skall man ta skarp vänster, in på en djurstig, där uppförsbacken är som brantast.

Från väster börjar stigen i hårnålkurvan på Eriksdalsstigen. Härifrån är stigen bara en djurstig. Efter knappt 100 m svänger stigen skarpt höger ned för backen.
