Trail is in good shape. Pinetop Lakeside Tracks rates this as blue but clearly a black. I am a novice rider and thought it might take me two hours. After 45 minutes I was only 4 miles in putting me on pace for a 4 hr ride. More than I bargained for. While the trail is marked well, you have to keep your head up and pay attention to the signs. There are many trails that connect so it's easy to take a wrong turn.... which I did multiple times.

This trail is 99% double track. The first mile starts out fun and in the pines but then turns into a old burned out forest. The trail surface is mostly silt. Not quite as hard to ride through as deep sand but def slows you down. There is a few hike a bike sections, most are short but one long one around mile 10 up a very loose rocky hill. Trail is well marked. I have no desire to ride this trail again.

I'm heading up that way in 2 weeks. Thanks for the review.
