Lower Bull Gap starts where Upper Bull Gap ends at Road 200 and Tolman Creek Rd (2080) meet. The first 1/2 mile is a steep climb to a nice vista point looking back towards Mt. Ashland. The next mile is filled rolling tight singletrack through the trees. The final section is all downhill offering up a few jumps and tight turns.

You can follow the trail back to Road 200 or take Upper Lynx and continue the single track back to Ashland. Lower Bull Gap is high enough in elevation that is see plenty of snowfall in the winter. This trail is rated intermediate, but the first 1/2 mile climb deters some of the downhill bikers as they typically descend Road 200.
