Many fast sections and many steep uphills. Mostly in scrub oak, but some loamy descents in fir forest. Mostly used as a motorcycle trail (which can get very dusty, especially on steep hills), but is still a fun bike.

      Black diamond moto trail. Covered in dead fall. Washed out trail. Only experienced moto riders. No good for mountain bikes.

      Rode Mountain bike from top of saw mill to mapleton city. The southern half of the Mapleton-Sawmill Hallow trail #8013 is unrideable. From the top of Mapleton Canyon north to Kirkman Hollow is about 9 miles. 4-7 miles are nothing but large, cobbles. Unrideable on a mountain bike. Perhaps the worst mountain bike trail along the Wasatch Front. Packard and Kirkman are great rides. Don't waste you day on Mapleton-Sawmill Hollow.

      Fun on a dirt bike. I started at the whiting campground and went up. There was a tree blocking the trail close to Kirkman Hollow so I chose to turn around.

      I would recommend staying away on weekends because there are a lot of families on the hiking trail near the campground. I got a lot of nasty looks for riding a dirt bike on it.
