This trail feels more like part of the National Park than the National Forest, as it climbs to the top of a tall red-rock mesa overlooking the Capitol Reef area. Commonly used to access the Pandora's Box technical canyoneering route. Also a good option for those looking for a short hike close to Torrey, as just the first half mile will take you to the top of the lower band of cliffs, with great panoramic views of Boulder Mountain, Capitol Reef, and the Henry Mountains in the distance.
