This is a simple dirt trail that connects RRCC to the Green Mountain area. It can be ridden either direction. Starting at the parking area the trail is actually a decomposing asphalt road. As it turns and heads west past the elevated challenge course, the trail width is greatly reduced down to a singletrack dirt track. It isn't really maintained and may be partally obscured or overgrown by tall grass, but it's easy to follow. Shown here as a BLUE trail, most seasoned riders would probably consider this one a GREEN. There are a number of short spurs that branch off north and south to connect into the local neighborhoods. The far western end was rerouted to minimize erosion, looping north around a small knoll and climbing up to the North Access trail. This trail sees frequent use by cyclists, walkers, hikers, families and runners.
Open 5AM to 10PM daily.
Pieces of spent artillery shells from prior to World War II have been found in the park, and this indicates a potential that unexploded pieces of artillery could be in the park.
