Jan 13, 2025 @ 12:40pm Jan 13, 2025 | mtb 7.5 hour round trip carrying hand tools all the way, this absolutely sucked! But at least it's clear and ridable now. NB the top has intentionally been left 'not clear' [elephant grass x1] but all the loose sticks and stuff have been removed all the way, I cut the fallen trees and supplejack out plus loads of ponga, it's an unending task. | Ideal | view | |

Sep 15, 2023 @ 7:11pm Sep 15, 2023 | mtb So annoying to ride this one, trees down, branches down, ponga down, sticks everywhere etc even some mud remains. Grip was actually good however and the trees aren't huge so you can in fact get past/over them. I rode north to south which is better because the rough technical bit is cool to ride down and the the easier bit further south is actually possible to climb. Dec 10, 2021 @ 2:43pm Dec 10, 2021 | mtb this is not "closed" it's just a bit overgrown, mostly ferns. there's one big dead tree across the trail which you can leg it over [it might just disintegrate with a few swift wallops] then another much smaller tree with a small unnecessary ride around. the trail seems to end at a DOC/trappers track which forks left and right [I went left] and changes characteristics dramatically into just a clay/grass track. currently this is NOWHERE NEAR a double black, at a stretch it's dark blue but only due to the remoteness and occasional exposure, the actual trail is blue. the very north end is just a clay road with no name down to Marua Road. some of the uphill sections weren't rideable for me, too many ruts and one section has a decent sized hole. will I ride this again? yes definitely! please note there is a *dead pig* on this trail yuk! | Ideal | view | |
