This is a new remodeled walking track built by the local Park Ranger and volunteers. This can be used for MTBing but uphill only, from what i can gather from the signs, this a one of the trails that leads up from the Korokoro Dam after finishing the Korokoro Dam/Cornish Street trail. They are currently repairing/remodelling the other uphill track"Oakleigh Street" "which will be finish on the 17th May 2017".
The track in it's self is a steady up hill climb with some tricky switch backs at the start which take some technique to negotiate without stopping. It get "easier" as the track progresses. Keep on the lookout for other track users thou.
The surface is small gravel chip on top of clay. All weather durable.

Access Info

Access from the end of the Korokoro Dam Track( which ends at the Korokoro Dam.) Access to the start of the Korokoro Dam Track is at Cornish Street, Petone.
Due to the presence of Walkers and children and dogs there is "no" downhill riding allowed from the park entrance at Oakleigh Street(where this trail ends). However since the Cornish/Korokoro Dam track ends at the Korokoro Dam they have allowed uphill MTBing so that riders can exit the park at the Oakleigh Street (Maungaraki) entrance.
