The two-way section of Outer Limits branches off from the intersection of the Twilight Zone loop and Just Mite, at the bottom of the deep gorge created by Deadman's Creek.

From here, the trail continues east a ways to the Hillside and Walkabout trails before turning north.

The trail then rolls more gently along Peepsock Creek, crosses on a ski trail and begins its extended climb. The first of the climb is steep, but it quickly moderates and begins a flatter winding course with numerous sweeping connected turns and dips. It takes its time to play in this way before skirting below the highway on a bench cut and resuming the climb. Still not steep, the climb continues, then moderates again as you return to the northeast corner of the Inner Core loop
