This has some easy flowy parts, but it also has a few difficult rocky sections, and one long straight up section that is not too steep, but lots of loose lava rock make it a grind. I prefer staying on Elk Traverse, but this trail does bring you to the edge of the ridge for a nice view and offers some variety.
