Over Lode Details
Begin by crossing the road at the first gravel crossing on Gneiss & Smooth. From there, take a left and fly down the ski trail until you see a fork to the left. Stay right, but slow down because the singletrack starts just after the fork, on the left side.
The trail weaves up, down, and along some very nice contours. The end result is a trail that is often very fast. Experience what it feels like to fly on two wheels.
There are several climbs, some longer than others. There are also a few ascents that will test your lungs, legs, traction of your rear tire and your rig's ability to climb.
There is currently a loop at the northeast end of the trail that is meant to be ridden clockwise, but the downhill side of it follows an old road bed that is loose rock, so use caution.
After the loop/crossroad, the trail continues down and then plunges off a steep but short drop and follows along Ryan Creek, crosses it via a bridge, and then comes the most challenging climb on the trail.
There is some more flowy trail, a road crossing, another descent and climb, some rocky goodness, another road crossing, and finally the trail meets back up with Gneiss & Smooth.
