Pitch Pole Details

Pitchpole is one of the only trails on the mountain not to have been significantly changed by the redevelopment of the ski area. It starts at the end of the climbing trail, which is also messed up by the redevelopment, You sort of climb up a flat rock ledge by traversing across the open ski field and then drop down on what is the Lookout Ski trail. Take the left into the woods midway down the ledges.

The trail has one very loose rock descent which is probably why it gets the black diamond. The rest of the trail is steep with some tight switchbacks, and ends up right now at the top of the 22 tacks trail.
