“This trail is the heart of the lower trails on Jumbo and stretches from CC’s Corner to Jumbo Ridge. Use it to access a number of other trails and loops, or ride the whole thing”

Plumbers Crack is the main outbound route to access Wapiti Whip, Lower Rock and Roll, or Herfendoodle. It also intersects with Zip n’ Out and Bang Zoom. It can be ridden in either direction, but these directions describe the outbound route. The trail starts at CC Corner and at the bottom of the Ridge of Doom. As soon as you drop in you hit a few fun banked downhill turns. You will pass the start of Bang Zoom on your right, and then cross a bridge followed by a quick climb, another quick decent to a second bridge, then a little grunt up to Dead Dear Point. Stop here for a second and check out the great view over town. As you continue you will start to descend. The trail will split in about 150 yards, this is just an uphill and downhill route of the same trail. The downhill will brake off to the left and drop off steeply, or you can go straight at this point for a mellow switch-backed decent (this is more often used when climbing this section). At the bottom of the short steep section stay to the right, there is a little renegade trail that takes off to the left and right just as the steep part ends and you do not want to go that way. You are now into the fun banked turns of the Twist and Shout section of Plumber’s. (If you are looking for a quick ride you can take a right onto Zip n’ Out or the lower section of Wapiti Whip after this section) You will drop into a gully, crossing a dry stream bed (describe turn off to the south, effectively crossing Whapiti Whip), and from here you will climb for the rest of the trail. As you continue you will see two of the downhill routes that drop into Plumber’s on your left, first The Plunge and then Wapiti Whip. In about a ½ mile you will run straight into to the bottom of Rock n’ Roll, and Plumber’s brakes off to the right. Please don’t climb Rock n’ Roll. Now you are in the namesake section of Plumber’s Crack. You will cross a bridge and continue through the gully until you cross a second bridge followed immediately by steep grunt of climb. About a ¼ mile past this climb you will come to a T in the trail. If you go left, you are at the start of Wapiti Whip, if you go right you are now on the Upper portion of Plumber’s Crack. This is the final grunt to the top. Keep an eye out for the new re-route at the very top that bypasses the final, brutal, 100’ of the climb (or go straight if your up for it!). You will now have gained Jumbo Ridge and reached the end of Plumbers Crack. From here you can go right and ride the bottom of Jumbo Ridge, or cross Jumbo Ridge and hit Herfendoodle. If you climb up the trail just a bit to your left you will come to the start of Seven Bridges trail, which will take off to your right.
