Just rode this Saturday and like Brian mentioned, a slog that has some pretty good loose rock (mainly after the first 200m) just to test out the lactic acid filled legs 
....but great view at the top and spot to commence the amazing ride down! Took 1hr.

long, steep and boring. Not to mention it's washed out in some parts. But it will get you up to the fun stuff quickly.
