Rum Brook departs Blue Ridge shortly after leaving the small trail head. This trail crosses the old logging road and continues on flat terrain for a while before beginning its climb to the notch and Cranberry Pond.
Rum Brook is a great advanced backcountry trail. It is not as remote as Blue Ridge and there are no views. With Blue Ridge Rum Brook provides a short loop accessing two ponds and campsites.
Rum Brook is a great remote and challenging singletrack, those going up will likely need to hike a few sections but those going down should enjoy the fast descent.
Service Road Atlas is a free to use, community-driven service for viewing and creating reports on the numerous back-country service roads around B.C. and Alberta.
