The Square Trail crosses the Giant near the knees and intersects with the blue-blazed Quinnipiac Trail plus the Yellow, Orange, Green, and Violet Trails. Expect steady climbs from both directions.
All five red blaze trails in SGSP are north-south trails, making them handy feeder and crossover trails.
The cross-county ski trails are blazed with a pair of white skis crossed on a black background.
