 There are a lot of downed trees all across the trail. Some are in pretty awkward areas that are hard to stop in.

 Tough trail to ride up, better done as a loop from Shortys, thanks to whoever trimmed back the shrubbery

      Super awesome downhill. I'd call it a solid (single) black. I consider myself an intermediate rider and I had a great time, usually only stopping for the downed trees (there are a lot). I would never consider uphilling this though. Near the bottom it gets flat with rock gardens, so you're trying to pedal through them which is a pain. The Steam Mill Ridge shortcut might alleviate that, but I haven't done it so I'm not sure.

      Super fun and rowdy descent! Nothing crazy technical, and a lot of choose your own adventure options when the trail splits and comes back together just a bit further down.
