New trail bypasses the Gravel double track to Summit Ave. Heading south from the intersection with the gravel climb up to Summit Avenue the trail is mostly flat, after you pass a large open clearing, there is a short steep descent followed by a stream crossing. The trail comes to a t-intersection, go left to follow the main trail.
