Technical fun ride on mostly volcanic tuff rock. Connects to rest of perimeter that goes around town of Los Alamos. This section is the hardest but most fun for technical riding/climbing/descending.

The trail begins at a small set of stairs off the northwest side of Ridgeway drive (park on the south side of the street only). After a few hundred feet of rolling terrain, you'll make a steep (but rideable) descent into Pueblo canyon. A 2 minute hike-a-bike deposits you at the goods - a long series of slabs and ledges that constitute a fun technical challenge that's a step up from Quemazon (with fewer alternate lines). After crossing Pipeline road, you'll descend a series of switchbacks to the less technical portion of Perimeter.

If riding north to south, there's a double-black nosepick switchback/slab at Pueblo canyon, and a hike-a-bike back out to get to Ridgeway. This is the only double black section of trail, so if you like technical messing around, and are ok with a brief portage, don't be scared away - there's no mandatory gap jumping or big drops or technical moves on the edge of a cliff.
