Starting along the river bed, the reaches a set of switchback to let you know the progressively grinding climb up is starting. Reaching the middle of the climb more switchbacks let you know the progression of the grind is about to get grueling. Then the final set of mild switchbacks 3/4 of the way signal the chance to spin out your legs but it is still a wondering single track up the hill as you grind out your last bit of energy.
