Unless you love carrying your bike over deadfall, I wouldn’t recommend doing this until it’s clear. Tons of trees blocks the trail. No flow on the downhill.

Not a fan of this trail. It's a decent climb to get to the top...and once you're there, prepare to spend two-thirds of the trail slogging through a technical climb and hike-a-bike... lots of fallen trees when I rode in early May as well... the descent was alright, but felt way too short and wasn't worth the slog.

Sept 5 2019. We entered this trail off log jam. The trail was narrow and nowhere could we get a flow. Rickety sketchy ramps. Big rock drops and climb that were unridable unless you are crazy fit. Did not like it. We are solid blue riders from Fernie and did not find our groove on any of it.

Tried to ride this trail this afternoon and I reckon there was probably close to 100 trees that I either had to carry my bike over or sneak under. Needs some serious maintenance for there to be any flow on this trail

Wasn’t aware it was closed until late yesterday afternoon when I got home. Won’t be going back there.

Nelson Cycling Club usually waits until middle of June before clearing, lots of seasonal springs so better to wait for them to dry a bit before clearing. Helps the trail in the long run.

Fair enough, very impressed with the incredible workload those guys carry. Apologies about riding the trail by the way, got dragged into doing it by a friend. Once we got home and looked up the trail we realised it was closed. Definitely wasn’t a smart decision to ride there

Still many trees across the trail so the previous comment still applies. Not worth the effort.
