July 2019: Trail is severely eroded following forest fire. Not recommended.

After an hour of climbing from the Sitkum-Alpine FSR and you’re
finally past all the switchbacks, start looking for the rocks marking
this trailhead on your right. The trail begins with a slight uphill and
some pedaling, but quickly turns into one of the longest continuous,
brake-burning, descents in any of our trails.

I rode this trail last year (2011) in July, there was still snow at the top so it was very hard to find the trail. In my opinion its not worth the effort it takes getting to it. The trails is obviously not ridden much, there were many trees down across the trail and almost all the wood features were broken.

Just rode this trail on September 25th 2014. The "ATV' track to the top is driveable. We shuttled in a larger F250 quad cab long box truck which was tight going but anything 4x4 that is smaller should be ok. The trail is clear top to bottom and well worth the effort to get there!
