This trail is an alternate route in the network of primitive trails along the western side of the Lower Otay Lake. It is neatly tucked between an even higher trail and the Lower Otay Lake Trail. It may be a dry route during seasons when the trails closer to the water may be submerged. It is frequented by cyclists, runners and families. It can be ridden in either direction.
