To host the 2009 UCI MTB World Championships, Stromlo required a DH track that took at least 2:30 to complete for the elite men. The addition of the Wallaby Run was essential to make this happen. Up to Wallaby Run, the DH track is comparatively steep and technical, but Wallaby Run is a straight shot over some jumps (pick your jump size as there are at least four jump lines to choose from) with very smooth dirt. Those good at jumping can hold their speed easily over this trail. The race line is over the biggest of the jumps.
