Hallingdal is Scandinavia's largest mountain bike region with more than 120 km of built bike paths – an eldorado for cycling families and enthusiasts! You can get to the top by bike lift or shuttle bus , and from there you just have to let your wheels roll through nature's roller coaster. If you are completely new to cycling, we recommend that you start at one of our many pump tracks and skill parks. There are also several family-friendly trail rides in varied terrain with both pedaling and flowing – and challenges for all skill levels. You can find all of them in our trail bike map . In Hallingdal you can explore 6 cycling destinations and countless cycling facilities no matter where in the region you are. The most enthusiastic can cycle lift-based floating trails in Geilo or Hemsedal in the morning, take an epic high mountain tour on Golsfjellet in the afternoon, and finish with a ride in one of Nesbyen's enduro classics in the evening. The cycling family can easily fill a week exploring various family-friendly trails and facilities, and "after-bike activities" can include visits to Bjørneparken, Langedrag, Høyt og Lavt climbing park or cooling off at one of Hallingdal's fantastic swimming spots.
