Excellent trail. And a nice bonus to drop Lower Bunchgrass first. Not sure why this trail isn't as popular as some of the others. Just a phenomenal trail with some nice techy sections. Go get it! Idealview

Riding great. 3 trees down. One on the climb to the vista that you can ride around if you stay left. One that's just below the vista after the switchbacks but is easy to step over. One on the lower traverse before the last descent that is easy step over. Idealview

Couple trees down, easy to toss the bike over. Trail is loose and steep in sections, be safe out there. Dryview

Be careful- people with a gun nearly killed us. My partner and I rode Heckletooth on Oct 18, 2025 in the afternoon (3:05 pm) and were at the summit when bullets literally flew by our heads. Someone with a gun was shooting at the summit, we couldn’t see them but hit the ground and started screaming. The bullets were within feet of us, we heard them and saw them hitting the trees. As soon as there was a break in the shooting we grabbed our bikes and got on the other side of the hill. Very scary. We reported it to the police/sheriff and also called the Willamette Ranger station (which is currently closed fyi). Unknownview

great summer conditions. running amazing.
hardpack in the trees, dust over hardpack in the open. climb to the summit is scrabbley. chute has excellent grip / loose over hard. reporter		 Dryview
