Alefjäll is a nature reserve maintained by Västkuststiftelsen that features a high plateau like terrain with balming slopes and a few rocky areas.
The majority of the region is unfortunately still recovering from a particularly large forest fire that ravaged most of the forest and hillside back in 2009. As such, a large portion of the region is mostly devoid of forest or even trees and comprises mostly of wetlands and bogs to the east.
It is however still a lovely area to ride in and the upshot of the lack of forestation is that you can see far and wide across the landscape. It resembles going further north in the country around the mountains of Lappland.
