Description:
STEEP! You will have to push your bike up a 25 degree incline out of basin camp. Also, most of the trail from the lake up to basin camp is a push as well. Furthermore, the trail is hard to find going around the lake. When you get to the campsite on the Northeast side of the lake, the one that has an American Flag up in a tree, keep going over the log. The trail routes right down along the lakeshore and eventually starts climbing the hill.

This trail has been poached by a dirt bike rider who caused some severe damage. There are ruts everywhere from the lake up to the intersection with Craggy peak and they make the trail difficult to manage at times.

Lots of downed trees North of the lake going to Craggy Peak Trail. South of the lake is clear. view
