Mostly ideal and dry but some snow as you turn uphill at the Romulus campground. Did the loop with Little Elbow in good shape but Big Elbow was quite a bit rougher. Did not enjoy Big Elbow, next time I will return on Little Elbow and not do the loop. Idealview

Did the loop counter clockwise. Little Elbow was good with a couple of small puddles. Big Elbow is in rough shape in places for the first 10 km down. Lots of loose rock especially on the steep, washed out areas. Has not really recovered from the 2013 floods in places. After you get past the few sketchy bits the flats are fast and dry to the bridge. Still a fun ride for the most part. Idealview

6"of heavy, wet snow 7 km from the summit, carried the bikes for a while and it get kept getting worse. Will need a few days to melt. Snow Cover Partialview

Rode it yesterday on June 12, 2024. From about 17km to the part where it flattens out up top is completely snow covered. Few feet of snow. Had to push and drag my bike for like 2 to 3km. Recommend couple weeks before riding, or unless we get really warm weather. Snow Coveredview

Rode the Elbow Loop CCW on August 11. There were some small puddles, but otherwise the trail was in ideal condition. Idealview

It was a great day to take this on. The temp was mid teens during the ride. Sun was out and no wildlife seen on the trail just some bear droppings. Idealview

Rode elbow loop today (ccw), dry for the first 15 km then some snow patches and damp sections but all are easily passable. After the pass it’s basically all dry with a few spots with small snow and wet spots a few good sized rocks have fallen on the trail in places too. Variableview
