Two deadfall across Gobblers Knob West trail section near the western end of the Gobblers Knob West trail. One double trunk deadfall, and an additional deadfall 150 ft. beyond (east). Best to access with the saw from the Eagleton Run Trail (mid way) parking area. Variableview

Cleared two new 6" deadfall that came down since this trail was last cleared on 3/20/2022. Both were located west of the Buckhorn Trail intersection in the "S" turns before climbing up Bootleg path.

8/1/2021 - Trail Maintenance Ride - Cleared 2 deadfall, with the chainsaw, off the eastern end of the Bootleg Path section of the EMCT. Also cleared numerous blowdown branches off the trail as well. The Booleg Path section is now clear from the Eagleton Railroad section, on over to Boiler Run.

Trail Maintenance Ride. Cleared several small deadfall /blowdowns with folding saw along Bootleg Path.

The Eastern Half of EMCT is currently clear except for one 12" single trunk deadfall on Gobblers Knob West. Will get that one with the chainsaw.

hike Trail Maintenance: Removed blowdowns and 4 deadfall with the chainsaw. Trail is now clear. Snow has melted off the trail, but the road (Eagleton Run Trail) at the west end of Gobblers Knob West, is still ice and snow covered.
