This is an excellent loop, that has a bit of everything. Starting off with some of the best climbing trails around, which get you almost too the top. Once at the radio tower you start the Maple Syrup trail, which starts off steep with some fun rock faces. The trail has lots of punchy climbing bits and changes between techy and flowy several times. Then you continue down the mountain on Solar Coaster which is a bit more XC with some climbs, but has some fast downhill sections.

This loop will take most groups between 2-3 hours.

Great to be riding with BBB once again. Mississippi's flat trails were not adequate prep for Maple. That smooth skill is still there though....

From the start of Xylem (Maple Climbing Trail) all the way up to the M600 exit/entrance is prime late fall riding conditions. There was only one wet spot on this entire leg of the climb trail. There was some trail braiding shortcuts occurring at the switchback climb section that I stopped and blocked and covered back up. There were also some sinkholes that formed here, I repaired and filled them back in. The short bridge that connects the climbing trail of the M120 logging spur is scheduled to have the mesh replaced.
