This 453c connector is a great way to link up from the South Side Access Rd (SSAR/453b) to Trail 227.

The idea for using this is when climbing the SSAR (453b), take this (453c overgrown doubletrack) to Trl 227and head north on 227 for just a 1/2 mile to 453 (a primary east/west gravel road). This section of 227 is easily ridable uphill and actually has a fun short downhill to 453.

Once at 453, either ride clockwise around CDA Mtn to the start of Caribou Ridge Trail 228, or turn right on 453 and head to the top of Trl 257.
