Armijo is a fun, moderate difficulty trail in the Sandia Mountain trail area. Nothing too technical here, but the climb can be quite tiring, and does have some relatively steep sections. Downhill it's mostly just a good time.

AS of 2/26/2026 entire trail is dry. Minor reroutes being done by Forest Service of upper section near junction with Faulty Trail for erosion management.

Nice climb, nothing technical other than it gets steep and there's a couple minor roots to maneuver before the top when it meets with Faulty. Fun flowy downhill but watch your speed especially if descending on weekends this area has a ton of hikers.
