rode this as a loop climbing baxter/carbon and descending green lake. this is a great climbing trail; relatively consistent grade, quite sustained but with flatter sectons in all the right spots. not an easy climb per-se, but far from impossible.
next time, i would do baxter as an out and back and skip carbon/green lake. the descent down baxter seems more fun/worthwhile and the carbon connector is a bit of a chore in either direction.

Great trail, fun both directions. No reroute needed after the creek as someone recently mentioned. It’s not that steep or technical. All rideable and in great shape as of 9/21/23

the part after the first creek crossing is brutally steep. you need to be a real legend to clear it. would suggest a reroute in the future.
