Jun 2, 2026 @ 4:33pm (America/Denver) Jun 2, 2026 | mtb FAMB Trail Crew took 2 saws top to bottom over the last couple days. We cleared over 130 trees, mostly concentrated in the top 2 miles! Thank you everyone who started clearing from the bottom, your hard work is much appreciated!! | Variable | view
May 19, 2026 @ 1:40am (America/Denver) May 19, 2026 | mtb Multiple trees removed again, clear now up until around mile 3.5. Larger trees now removed | Variable | view
May 16, 2026 @ 10:45pm (America/Denver) May 16, 2026 | mtb Dozens of trees removed today. Still two large trees at mile 2 and 2.3 (larger saw will be needed). Tree at mile 2.8 and nothing checked above that as of today. | Variable | view
Oct 5, 2025 @ 1:05pm (America/Creston) Oct 5, 2025 | mtb 1 tree down, otherwise riding amazing- Thanks FAMB for all the brushing! | Dry | view
Oct 5, 2025 @ 1:05pm (America/Creston) Oct 5, 2025 | mtb 1 tree down, otherwise riding amazing- Thanks FAMB for all the brushing! | Dry | view
Sep 29, 2025 @ 12:38pm (America/Denver) Sep 29, 2025 | mtb FAMB cut out all the reported trees, trail is now clear! Brush is dying back for winter, now is a great time to ride of the weather cooperates! | Dry | view
Sep 22, 2025 @ 4:20pm (America/Denver) Sep 22, 2025 | mtb Rode as an out and back. Probably 6ish total trees down, most in the bottom 2 miles, including a few large ones that would be too big for a small hand saw. Overall brush is not too bad - slightly overgrown in the top mile but trail was still visible. | Ideal | view
Sep 6, 2025 @ 5:40pm Sep 6, 2025 | mtb We continued brushing down from the top, made it to the top of the gully with the skinny. We cut out 2 of the previously reported trees, but didn't have enough crew members or time to make sure the rest of the trail is clear. Ride with caution, and let us know if there are still obstructions in the trail! | Dry | view
Aug 23, 2025 @ 2:39pm Aug 23, 2025 | ebike The beginning has been freshly brushed but the Beardance downhill is brushy with several big trees down. | Snow Covered | view
Aug 22, 2025 @ 4:20pm Aug 22, 2025 | mtb FAMB brushed the first mile of trail. We will continue the brushing as our schedule allows! Please let us know on here if those reported trees get cut out. We will try to get them in the next couple weeks. | Ideal | view
May 12, 2025 @ 1:38pm May 12, 2025 | mtb Upper 25% of trail still has significant snow. Overall, trail has about 20 trees down. Best to do as out and back for a few more weeks and stop once you hit snow. | Snow Covered | view
Sep 21, 2024 @ 8:21am Sep 21, 2024 | mtb The entire first 1/4 - .5 mile of the trail is completely plowed for logging operations. Within the first 1 -1.5 miles I encountered 2 areas where logging operations have made the trail impassible. I needed to divert around the felled trees 10 - 15 yards to regain the trail, going over them wasn't an option. After this the trail was fun to ride. | Variable | view
Sep 16, 2024 @ 6:41pm Sep 16, 2024 | mtb Logging on upper 1/2 mile. 1st 1/4 mile being used as road to haul timber. Watch for debris, equipment, and log trucks. | Dry | view
Aug 9, 2024 @ 8:57am Aug 9, 2024 | mtb FAMB Trail Crew has started brushing, and has made it approximately 2.7 miles up from the bottom. We will continue next week! We also cutback the large tree (4 ft diameter) that was taken down recently. It is now 5 feet wide - wide enough to fit handlebars! Important note: We found 5 bee/wasp nests in the past week. Most are ground nests and hard to see, one is a wasp nest attached to a Mountain Maple branch about 100 yards up trail from the Phillips intersection. They all seem to be accustomed to bikers/hikers, as long as y'all stay on trail. They do not like our brushers. | Ideal | view
Jul 19, 2024 @ 12:50am Jul 19, 2024 | ebike Needs to be brushed again badly | Ideal | view
Jul 7, 2024 @ 1:21pm Jul 7, 2024 | mtb Cleared the tree on the lower trail before Phillips intersection. Didn’t see the boulder. | Ideal | view
Jul 5, 2024 @ 9:01am Jul 5, 2024 | mtb One tree down and one boulder in the middle of the trail that could be moved. I rode up to the Phillips intersection and then ride Phillips, so this report is just for the lower section. Some areas could also benefit from some brush clearing on the sides. | Variable | view
Jun 21, 2024 @ 4:07am Jun 21, 2024 | mtb Clear except one tree. Good and tacky. | Dry | view
Nov 4, 2023 @ 2:05pm Nov 4, 2023 | mtb 100% clear top to bottom... shuttle road is a bit of a muddy mess though from logging operation | Dry | view
Nov 3, 2023 @ 7:27pm Nov 3, 2023 | mtb 4 miles from the bottom is now completely clear. | Variable | view
Aug 13, 2023 @ 5:14am Aug 13, 2023 | mtb Two trees down in the switchback section, and relatively overgrown. It's not terrible, but definitely take it slower to avoid pedal strikes. The FAMB work was great, trail is riding well other than the trees, and is dry but not terribly so compared to the rest of the valley. | Variable | view
Jul 6, 2023 @ 7:52am Jul 6, 2023 | mtb Ride report - great trail. One large ponderosa pine fell across the trail on the lower part of the trail below the intersection with Phillips. Overall good condition. It’s a little overgrown with some taller vegetation towards the top but not bad at all. I rode this yesterday as a loop going up Phillips - hard work but super fun! Thanks to all of the people involved with maintaining these trails, you can tell these trails are well taken care of. | Dry | view
Jul 6, 2023 @ 7:52am Jul 6, 2023 | mtb One large tree down across the trail below the intersection with Phillips. | Dry | view
Jun 15, 2023 @ 5:09pm Jun 15, 2023 | mtb FAMB Trail Crew has improved drainage in the bottom switchbacks over the last week. Added rock armoring in muddy areas, as well as removing the rock/stump chainring bashing feature near the bottom, and completely replacing tread in a rooty section. | Ideal | view
Jun 2, 2023 @ 6:16pm Jun 2, 2023 | mtb FAMB Trail Crew has brushed Beardance from the Phillips intersection to about 0.5 miles below the last logging road crossing. Got the worst of the brush out of the trail and cut back 4 feet! Trail was hard to find in some sections, thank you GNCYCLESKI for an awesome trail report. Our Trail Crew Lead will be monitoring reports on this trail If anything else comes up, please let us know! | Ideal | view |
