 There is still some significant mud on north facing slopes of the Canal Loop. Best to avoid or ride early (before 9:30 am).

      More of a blue trail now. No real payback for all the climbing.

      Great trail with some fast flow, some tech sections and some exposure. Overall an intermediate trail in 2025.

      Beginner/new rider thoughts: I rode: Highline, Talon, and Canal. Canal comes in second as the best trail of the day for a beginner. The first half has one large tech feature, that you can jump, with some flowy tight sections that I ended up walking, as I work up confidence with speed. The second half of this trail was a rolling flowy time. This part helped me keep a comfortable speed while getting to feel turns, leans, and how to position my body.
