Although open to bikes, the Cedar Lake Loop is clearly a hiking trail. Both entry/exits points are reasonable, but the trail around the lake is narrow, extremely rooted, contains single plank boardwalks, and has many walk-a-bikes. If braving this trail, plan on carrying your bike or earning the short rideable segments.
The west entrance is slightly more difficult (with a stepped finish) but connects more directly to the Cedar Lake Lookout Trail.
