the CamasCrest climb up to BasaltRim is a decent short workout and stays mostly well drained in winter. westside of Thurston is the way to go for a local fix

A fairly gentle but long climb with a couple steeper rocky areas. Its a 2 track gravel road with 1/2 to 3"+ rock in some places. Morning slog up would be best as in the afternoons you are in the blazing sun and will get baked on a warm or hot day.

We hope you've been enjoying Trailforks!
