The fourth trail completed in early 2016, the teal blazed Cowasee is a twisty trail of about 1.7 miles that bypasses the Scout/Palmetto Trail doubletrack. It begins near the parking lot at TS 31. It ends where the Whippoorwill trail begins at TS 29. The counterclockwise direction (TS 29-31) is a mostly gradual downhill for much of the trail. The Cowasee is now also used to access the Campbell Pond trail on Manchester State Forest. Follow the Cowasee until you see TS 38 with “Campbell Pond” in black lettering and turn left onto Campbell Pond trail. (You must have a permit to ride bikes on MSF property) Permits can be purchased here: https://www.scfc.gov/state-forests/manchester-state-forest
