The yellow blazed Whippoorwill is about 5.4 miles of trail added in 2014 to the park. This trail will acquaint you with more of the park's unique topography including pine forests, mixed hardwoods and high views of the swampy creek valleys. The Whippoorwill is also part of the Knot MTB Race Series held from 2014 on.
Trail blaze yellow, Whippoorwill can be accessed in two ways. Take the Cowasee or Scout trails from the parking lot (TS31) to where they intersect the Whippoorwill, or take the Splice to where it intersects the Whippoorwill at TS 22.
