This is an old horse packing trail that went out of use and was then recovered as a mountain bike trail. In places it is narrow on steep sidehill terrain so riders not comfortable in these situations will not be happy. Also, there are numerous punchy climbs and steep loose descents. For riders up for the task, it is a great trail. For those who cannot deal with the challenges, it may not be fun. It can be ridden in both directions but generally south bound (starting from Pacheco Canyon road) is the preferred direction.

 Horrible hike a bike, DO NOT recommend, would rather ride winsor back up and take the road to the Pacheco canyon parking lot. Not well maintained...

 It is easy to make wrong turns. The trail has a few eroded areas and a few steep hike a bikes. Would recommend for a fun adventure in the mountains.

      A rad trail if you know what you’re getting into.
      Serves its purpose of making Windsor a loop from Hyde Park Rd. Don’t be a babyyy ride it and pick up some deadfall when you hike a bike.

      Typical fall line trail, gullies full of baby heads. A scenic place to take your bike for a walk. Much of this trail is not rideable. This trail does not need to be repaired, it needs to be replaced.

      If hiking up gullies full of loose cobbles is your thing, then this is the trail for you. Former pro XC racer here, so I "have the legs" and am generally down for whatever climbing-wise - but this is just not fun. Might be ok on an Ebike with very aggressive tires or something, but otherwise, avoid at all costs.

      As a bonus, it's super overgrown with a mix of oak, pinion, and (my favorite) cholla.

      Honestly, this should just be removed from Trailforks at least as a mountain bike trail.
