As the name suggests, the trail is all about the roots and the ducks. Trail is extremely rooty and can be slippery and dangerous while wet. Heading west trail runs down and over a retaining wall between two ponds, then up and over a narrow bridge. Transitions on and off the bridge are extremely difficult due to the step up, ight railings, and the roots on either end.
Short, but a fun, challenging start to a ride if you're heading from the Tote Road lot to the top of Stratham hill to access Lovell Trail and Kitty Rock, among others.
