Galactic definitely rides like a moto trail. A long, steep climb with some loose sections, and a couple technical climbs as well. What the trail lacks in overall flow, it almost makes up for with some interesting scenery, and a good viewpoint that looks down onto the Alice lake zone. The lower portion of the trail opens up with some fun and fast flow, but watch for obstructions.
Access Info
Pedal up Access 6 at the 3rd switchback of Garibaldi Park Road. Continue pedalling past the entrance to Grin and Holler. You will come to an obvious Y intersection. The signs for Galactic are clearly marked. Stay right at the fork and continue to climb access 6. When the trail begins to descend, you're on Galactic.

I should have read Michael’s comments and gave it a miss. Went to ride diamond head from Alice lake and figured we hit up this trail on the way back to Alice. Sometimes what makes sense on a map, doesn't. Rode it in the wet and the “access road” is a walk when it’s wet. Once you’re on Galactic proper, you’ll be treated to the lamest descending old logging road. That’s it. It just goes on and on and on. Until the very bottom then there’s about 10 interesting turns but that’s it. Do not ride. Not worth the price of admission.

What Michel said. Good way to connect to Alice lake from Diamondhead if you like climbing. A technical XC (that "Access trail") to get there, and the descent while not "flowy" is fun in its own way.

I had always wondered what was up with this trail that cuts across from diamond-head to Alice Lake. Let me tell you: the "access road" is a single to double-black jank trail with multiple washouts that leads to what must have been some sort of logging access that has few features besides fields of baby-heads, occasional sink-holes that appear out of nowhere and downed trees that need to be cleared. Most bridges are thoroughly rotten. There is one nice view-point and the very, very bottom has some fun turns. If you are trying to do all the trails in Squamish, go ahead, but if not, give it a miss.
