High up above Squamish, and a bit off the beaten path, this trail is peppered with viewpoints throughout. Starting with some low angle fun, the trail dips into stunted old growth forest, linking up sweeping bench cuts with steep, ski-like turns.

After that, a short stout climb brings you up to Icarus Ridge where you can stop, take a seat, and enjoy the views of the Tantalus Range and Howe Sound. And have a drink for Dave!

Continue steeply off the ridge followed by some fun turns that lead you up to Deadalus Ridge, and even more views. A fast low angle rip off of Daedalus brings you into the signed 'erosion zone', aptly named due to the crux the builders had to deal with to get off the ridge. Please be respectful and minimize skidding in this area!

From there on in it's a long, fern-lined insanely fun dirt ribbon all the way down to the North Side Connector!

This trail is dedicated to Dave Reid. His enthusiasm for Squamish trail building was infectious, and extended to many others in the community - including us.

        If you dont like steep switchbacks, give this a miss. closer to double black compared to the popular black trails in the area.

        Fantastic trail! The climb after the first 1/3rd is was a bit long the first time when I didn't know it was coming and tried to charge up it, the 2nd time I just settled in and it was a breeze. Makes for an epic ride and it's pretty easy to get back to the Garibaldi trails or ride over to the Alice Lake area after. Thanks to the builders!

        This trail felt like a solid double black today. Steep, loose, lots of erosion, moderate exposure, and committing chutes with little room for error.

        Definitely a step up from your standard black trail in Squamish.
