Hiked 2 days ago and went up to Garns mountain! Beautiful views. But used AllTrails cause my subscription expired. But do not think that there’s a loop behind the peak. Do not go down to piney pass. Unless you wanna turn a 21 mile hike into a 27 mile trek. It was a ton of fun nonetheless. We saw 3 moose, we hiked in a whiteout and in the clouds. But it dumped 2-3 feet of snow while we still had 10 more miles to finish. So at this time I don’t recommend attempting this climb unless you’re brave enough to take it on with snowshoes. The road we drove on to get to the parking lot will probably not be plowed. But it was clear when we got there in the morning. Great hike that gave us the experience of doing a marathon with a pack in one day! From sunup til past sundown!
