This is one of two novice level trails in the Swift Creek Trail System. This trail has an extremely firm clay surface, wide trail bed and lots of undulating and bermed surfaces designed to encourage beginners to begin mountain biking. It is also tremendous fun to rip around with some fun skinnies, rollers and rock gardens. This trail is wide enough for mountain hand cycles and would be rideable by families with small children. The trail is directional, counter clockwise. This trail was designed to be part of the first phase of trails in the Swift Creek area. This trail is a handcycle trail and part of 7 miles of handcycle trail.

Access Info

Enter the trail from the Loop Forest Trail parking lot (annual pass required) by following Loop Forest Trail to the trailhead on your left. Or riders can access the trail from the Boat Ramp on Swift Creek Lake by crossing the bridge and bearing right up the Forest Exploration Trail until you reach the Loop Forest Trail - follow Loop Forest Trail to the Trailhead on your right (roughly a mile) - This approach is more hilly and may not be suitable for very small children.
