Holy Loop

I had fun. Wouldn’t do it again. Reports are pretty accurate.

This trail is definitely for preferred tastes and idk I’d I’m one of those people. The trail starts of with technical rocks but nothing close to difficult (just enough to where you can’t keep any speed and have to pedal), not the highlight of the trail. Then the steep section is basically just a narrow, carved-in, sandy, trail that goes straight down and keeps you on your brake like 70% of the way down unless you want to die. It’s really loose and if you want speed you got to be really loose on your feet. I didn’t have any glasses so my eyes got watery from the wind and I flew off the trail multiple times which could be sketchy in some areas. Personally I enjoyed it but I would totally understand if someone said they hate it.

Don’t ride the trail. The upper section of it is misleading and reasonably find that challenging series of Rocky sections. And then you give back all of the challenging vertical you just climbed gripping both brakes and praying to the gods (old and new) that your front tire doesn't make a left turn while the rest of your momentum goes straight (over the bars) because of the sand and duff. It’s a waste of vertical and then a sandy flat rode back the trailhead.
