Loop E hosts truly the scariest feature of Isle du Bois...a deep, wide, and long sand-trap, surrounded by bull-nettle, poison ivy, and poison oak. It's a slog and enough to make you itchy just thinking about it. Remember that time you made fun of fat tire bikes? Once you avoid the itch, the singletrack makes its way to a large rock outcropping. The ascent isn't too technical, but the descent can be sketchy, depending on line choice. Just don't shadank your phone. You'll want it for THE photo op when you reach the point above the water's edge. Locals and frequent riders...don't even pretend like you've never stopped for a pic. From there, it's a mellow spin to Loop D.
