LAMBA's original installation of singletrack at Wanatee Park in 2011, with updated routing and addition of flow elements (berms, rollers, jumps, etc.) in 201. This particular trail is rated blue (more difficult) often tight and twisty, requiring lower speed balance and good bike handling skills. The flow elements are also relatively tight and do not ride themselves, requiring skill to successfully navigate.
The singletrack is two way, however most locals prefer to ride this route in a anti-clockwise fashion. Adding to the technical challenge of this loop are occasional logs to traverse, most with ride arounds.
In 2011 Linn County Conservation worked with LAMBA and professional trail building contractors to connect this loop to another green rated (less difficult) loop in the park (Red Cedar), via a blue connector trail (TrollHoller / MercyFlush); leaving Wanatee with a grand total of 5 miles of singletrack.
